Prayer is how we communicate directly to Our Father In Heaven. Jesus lets us know that it is acceptable to present our request to Him and petition God for answers and things we need in our lives. When you go to pray make sure you do a faith check first, because you will never receive your request without first believing that He is willing and able to do what you ask of Him.

“And we are confident that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. And since we know that He hears us when we make a request, we also know that He will give us what we ask for” 1 John 5:14-25 NLT

“Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him!” Matthew 6:8 NLT

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 NLT

“At that time you won’t need to ask Me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and He will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” John 16:23-24 NLT

“But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Here is my list of 25 Things You Need To Ask for Right Now:

1. Ask the Lord to protect you with a wall of fire so the enemy can’t get his attacks in. Zechariah 2:5
2. Ask the Lord to guide you and show you what to do next in your life. Isaiah 48:17
3. Ask the Lord for wisdom to make better decisions and align your life to His will. James 1:5
4. Ask the Lord to forgive your sins and help you to forgive others who sinned against you. Matthew 6:12
5. Ask the Lord to give you mental clarity and knowledge to build your business, get a raise/promotion, or simply raise your children well. Proverbs 9:10
6. Ask the Lord to create in you a clean heart, unhardened and willing to love and receive love. Psalms 51:10-12
7. Ask the Lord to guide your steps and lead you into His will. Jeremiah 29:11
8. Ask the Lord to fill your home with the things you and your family need to survive, and to always have more than enough to share with others. Proverbs 3:10
9. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Luke 11:13
10. Ask the Lord to open your spiritual eyes so you can discern better. 2 Kings 6:17
11. Ask the Lord to train you for spiritual battle, after all, once you become a Christian you make yourself a target of the devil. Psalms 144:1
12. Ask the Lord to produce in you the 9 fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Long-suffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control
13. Ask the Lord to reveal your purpose and what spiritual gifts He has given you. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
