Genesis 1:1 says that in the begining God created the Heavens and the Earth. Then, in the same chapter, He created humans…from His own image and likeness. It’s like when you buy a new car or electronic device and you read the manufactuer’s guide to get instructions, guidance, and all the tips and tricks… the same goes for us. We need to refer back to our Creator to get instructions, guidance, and all the tips and tricks. Only He has all the answers that we are seeking and need to know.

Throughout the centuries there have been other lower case “g” gods, and they may offer supernatural experiences, knowledge, and power, but why dibble and dabble in lower level gods when you can call on the MOST HIGH? Why even bother when the Almighty has invited you, through His son Jesus Christ, to enter into HIS gates? You have an open invitation to be in the family of the Creator. Take it, don’t be deceived.

I won’t go into much detail about where all the other gods originated from, but here is Genesis 6:4 in the New Living Translation to help you understand.

“In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times.”

Basically, angelic beings who had super natural power came down and did things they were never supposed to do. This led to God destroying everything with the flood, but unfortunately, some survived. These gods that people serve are principalities, evil powers, spiritual hosts of wickedness, and dark rulers. Demons and such. Do not be deceived. There is only ONE true and living GOD, and there is only ONE way to Him. Jesus is the way. There isn’t another path you can take that will lead you to GOD. Be wise and understand this.

“There may be so-called gods, both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords. But for us, There is only God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live.”

2 Corinthians 8:5-6 NLT

So basically, there’s only one true God and He alone is worthy of our worship. There are many impostors and imitators who fall short of true glory and God is very jealous. He tells us His name is jealous. (Exodus 34:14) He doesn’t want us worshipping other gods or idols. We brings curses on ourselves when we are found guilty of this sin. (Read Deuteronomy 28) We cancel out all the good promises that the Lord has for us. Do a heart check, what other gods have you been following, worshipping, bowing down to, or giving your allegiance to? You may think none, but these little gods and idols are sneaky.

Examples: Yoga is demon worship. Horoscopes and zodiac signs are demonic. Using crystals for healing, power, love, and whatever else is new age spirituality and also demonic. Psychic readings, tarot cards, angel numbers, calling on your ancestors and spirit guides, is all demonic and very much not approved by God for us to participate in. Even supporting artists and musicians who do these things can be detrimental for you. Demons love agreement. They love for you to agree with them and give them access to your life. That’s really all they need to come in and take over and destroy, an open door.

When you read the bible, we see that these are the same things that got the Israelites sent into captivity. These are the same things today that get us chained in the bondage of the enemy. You may be “phyically free”, but mentally, emotionally, spiritually, ARE YOU FREE?

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10 NLT

My purpose is to give you knowledge about the Most High God so you will make a choice to choose and follow Him only everyday. There are amazing benefits of choosing Jesus. He already loves you and wants to have a deep and rich relationship with you. Choose Him.

1. He loves you unconditionally.
2. He has already forgiven your sins, just repent.
3. He created you and can heal your mind, body, and soul.
4. He has written out your life and wants to offer you a future with hope and abundance.
5. He gives you power to defeat the evil one and live without fear and timidity.
6. He will offer you eternal life.
7. He is the Prince of Peace and can flood your life with it.
8. He provides for His children.
9. He can transform your stoney stubborn heart and help you to live right.
10. He helps you with your work and can give you strategies to be successful.
11. He gives good spiritual gifts which enrich our lives and can help the people around us.
12. You will never again feel alone and rejected when He comes into your life.

The list got me fired up! HE IS JUST TOO GOOD. There is more, but you get the picture. Be my brother/sister in Christ and welcome to the Light.
