Lord Jesus, I thank you for a new beginning. Thank you for guiding and protecting me to see a new month. This is another opportunity to praise and worship you, and to focus on building our relationship. Pull me in closer, as I draw nearer to you. This month, I make a declaration to go deeper in your word, deeper in my prayer time, and deeper in my devotion to you. Holy Spirit, lead me into all truths and give me a deeper understanding, according to John 16:13.
I want to first give you adoration as the Lord of my life, the King of all kings, and the Creator of everything; it is because of Your love and mercy for us that we are not consumed. Your compassion fail us not, according to Lamentations 3:22-23. With each new day, we have the chance to be in your presence and be overtaken by your grace. Lord Jesus, show me your GLORY. Let your glory light the way for me, according to Revelation 21:23. Let your glory rest here at my house, and chase me down daily!
If it had not been for you, I would have already lost my mind, but I have been given the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5). Your thoughts are being replayed in my head, and I have hidden your word in my heart. Train me to be stronger and resist the devil. He is constantly after me, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy. Put a hedge of protection around me and send mighty angels to guard my home, my car, my workplace, and my children. The enemy CANNOT have me nor can he have my loved ones. Seal us now with the blood of the Lamb! Satan, we are off limits! The Blood of Jesus is AGAINST YOU!
I stand in agreement with you Lord, I know you have plans for me. (Jeremiah 29:11) Satisfy me with a long life so I can live out your desires and walk in the fullness of your joy. (Psalms 91:16, Psalms 16:11) You have not brought me this far just to abandon me now, build a deeper trust in me, so I can confidently believe every written word about You.
My Lord and My Savior, I cannot thank you enough. I love you forever, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

“How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver! Proverbs 16:6
Lord Jesus, based on this scripture above, I come before You seeking wisdom and knowledge today. I first want to enter your courts with thanksgiving and praise. I will honor you with the fruit of my lips and sing of your praises now and forever more. You are the Glorious and Most High God, Sovereign over everything! You are marvelous in your Kingship and the Almighty God deserving of true worship. There is no one like You and no one beside You! You have no equal! You are Lord and Lord all by yourself! You created all things and created me in your image, I give you my gratitude and thanksgiving.
I can accomplish nothing in life without Your power and Your wisdom. Lead me today and forever, and speak to me in new ways. Lord, I need your guidance. I have spent the former years of my life chasing things that would ultimately lead to my demise, but today I surrender my plans to you. I surrender my life to you.
Your word declares in Proverbs 4:6-9* that wisdom will protect me and guard me, it says that wisdom will make me great and give me honor. I need wisdom from on high, Lord! Let the gift of wisdom come upon me and make her home here. Wisdom that crowns me and causes me to live a life that you approve of and back with supernatural blessings and power.
I’m reminded of Solomon who asked for wisdom and received much more than that! May that be my portion also because I agree with this Word! Let wisdom find me, chase me down, and be applied daily in every thought and decision I make. Lord, I love You and I thank you in advance. James 1 says that I can ask You for wisdom and You will give it to me without rebuke! I ask all these things in Jesus’ mighty name, AMEN.
Sidebar:
In 1 Kings Chapter 3* Solomon, Israel’s newly crowned king, asked for wisdom to govern God’s people and the Lord was impressed with his request. The Lord ended up blessing Solomon with an additional promise of riches, fame, and long life! This shows us the importance of having the right motives when we ask God for things in prayer. Are our motives solely to benefit us, or do we have a bigger picture to help our family, our friends, our community, and our nation? Think deeply on the motives behind your prayer requests, and let God do a serious heart check.
How can God bless a person with riches and fame if He does not trust them? How can God bless us with influence, power, success, and wealth, if we won’t use it to govern His people properly? Ask God for wisdom in everything, but understand that you have a role to play in His Kingdom with your gifts, talents, resources, time, and money. God wants to trust us to initiate alignment with His plans for us and to apply everything He gifted us with. The Lord has already given us every good thing, it’s time to put it to great use! The answer is always, Yes and Amen.
*Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you. Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. If you prize wisdom, she will make you great. Embrace her, and she will honor you. She will place a lovely wreath on your head; she will present you with a beautiful crown.” Psalms 4:6-9 NLT
*Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours? The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom. So God replied, “Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for long life or wealth or the death of your enemies- I will give you what you have asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have! And I will also give you what you did not ask for- riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life! And if you follow Me and obey My decrees and My commands as your father, David, did, I will give you a long life.” 1 Kings 3:9-14 NLT
“He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.” Ephesians 1:8 NLT
